Do you ever sit on the floor and listen to your favorite music?

Just to do it, not even knowing you’re doing it?

Just because??

This microphone resembles everything I live for… I guess. (Note my improper use of the ellipsis). ;-)

Oxygen might be important as well, but why be so analytical?

My point is that I am happy in this very moment, sitting on the floor, alone, listening to good music, and pondering, because moments like this don’t happen as often as I’d like.

Stay tuned for my next move.

It’s gonna be big.

With love,

Me

One more for Music Mix Monday.

Just about everybody here in Tumblr seems to know Randy Haddock, and he’s awfully humble and gracious about it for someone who’s so talented.

Today,  I’ve also posted an original murder ballad of his, but he’s equally at home singing in Spanish and Portuguese. Like I said — talented.

I love the sheer variety of colors his voice takes on in this cover of Silvio Rodriguez’sTocando Fondo.

What can I say to someone writing something so kind about me?

Thank you. It warms me up inside. It feels great.

It’s a tricky thing responding to compliments. You want to make sure you’re fully appreciative without sounding conceited or insincere or like you take it for granted. I don’t, at all.

It really means the world to me that some of you like what I do.

Hey!!!

Listen to this song!
